Dear Christian and all of the staff of the YMCA of Sierra Leone, Thank you for all you did to make our visit to Sierra Leone an extraordinary experience. Chris, Rick, and I appreciated all of the effort to make our stay enjoyable, educational, and inspirational. Your work in places like Kroo Bay, Dworzack,Kissy, Makeni, Bo, and Kenema is critical to the success of each of these communities and, in turn, to Sierra Leone. We are honored to be partners in your work and look forward to strengthening our partnership with the Makeni Branch and facilitating new partners for Kenema and others. We will be in touch shortly with our next steps. But from all of us - thank you for hosting us and changing our lives! Sincerely, David Ports, Missoula Family YMCA, Montana, USA |

What a fine website. I enjoyed reading it very much, and if I ever return to Salone I'll look for the Freetown YMCA. I was there first on my way home from teaching in Nigeria in 1976, and taught at MMTC in Goderich for part of the summer of 1988. In 2005 I was in Freetown, Makeni and Port Loko as a guest of Bishop George Biguzzi. (In Port Loko I'm Pa Alimamy Kamaranka I) Keep up the good work. Please greet the Canadian Midlanders for me. Midland is my hometown. (I offered to be a resource person, but never heard from the team leaders.) Christian, I had the pleasure of meeting you at Victoria Harbour Elementary School and later at Horseshoe Valley. PJD |
